1. Delete data from a connected social account
When you connect a social account to ApexGEO (Settings → Social Channels), we store an access token plus the public profile and metrics that token allows us to read. To remove that data:
- Open Social Channels, find the connected account, and choose Disconnect. This immediately revokes the stored token and deletes the cached profile/metrics for that account.
- You can also revoke ApexGEO's access from the provider's own settings — e.g. Facebook/Instagram “Apps and Websites”, LinkedIn “Permitted Services”, or your Google/X account “Connected apps”. Revoking there stops further access; use step 1 (or the email request below) to also delete what we already stored.
2. Delete your entire ApexGEO account and all data
To erase everything we hold about you, use either route:
- In the app: go to Settings and use Delete account, or contact your organisation's admin to remove your user.
- By email: send a deletion request from your account email to [email protected]. We may ask one verifying question to confirm you own the account before we act.
3. What we delete
On a verified request we permanently delete:
- Your profile, login identity, and account settings;
- Social OAuth tokens and any cached social profile, follower, and engagement data tied to your connected accounts;
- Brands, audits, monitoring results, content, and recommendations that belong solely to your account or organisation;
- Support correspondence and analytics events that identify you.
Anonymised or aggregated statistics that no longer identify you, and records we are legally required to keep (e.g. invoices for tax/audit purposes), are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. How long it takes
Disconnecting a social account in step 1 takes effect immediately. Full account deletion is completed within 30 daysof a verified request (GDPR Art. 12(3)/17, POPIA s24, CCPA §1798.105), and usually much sooner. We'll email you to confirm when it's done.
